The Share Knowledge Share Success theme has been chosen to celebrate APL and J. This year's conference will focus on providing tutorials and "hands-on" sessions in computer laboratory facilities. Experts and fellow-users will share their knowledge to help assure your success!


Conference Information

Focus

The focus of the conference will be APL, J, and applications using these languages. Related array processing languages will also have a place. The conference will feature connectivity with other languages and applications using industry-standard methods, such as OLE, OCX, ODBC, and TCP/IP.

Location

APL97 will take place in downtown Toronto, at the Rogers Communications Centre (80 Gould St., 3 blocks east of Yonge St., Dundas subway station), which is part of Ryerson Polytechnic University. Cost

$160 CDN (or $115 US), Full-time students: $25 - Includes conference fees, CDROM proceedings, and all minor expenses. Additional Tuesday evening Dinner Cruise on Lake Ontario - add $40 CDN per person. Make your cheque payable to Toronto APL SIG / APL97. Please register early, in order to help assure better planning and a better program for the conference. See below for registration details.

Workshops - Early Registration

Seating may be limited in the PC-equipped labs used for conference workshops. If necessary, the APL97 organizing committee reserves the right to limit attendance to these presentations, with preferences given to early APL97 registrants. Please indicate in advance the workshops you plan to attend at APL97 on the registration form.

Hotels

Complete APL97 Accomodation Information is now available. We have made special arrangements with several local hotels including an on-site student-operated facility, the Ryerson International Conference Centre. Please book your accomodation before July 17 to take advantage of these arrangements. (Accomodation Info text version also available)

The City

How to Register - 3 Options:

  1. Complete and mail the registration form, along with payment, to the APL97 mailing address.
  2. Complete and fax the registration form, with credit card payment information, to: +1-416-781-5732
  3. Use the Online Registration Form, with payment by credit card (for complete security, please fax or telephone credit card numbers separately).

Payment may be made by cheque or international money order (Canadian or US funds only please), or by MasterCard, VISA or American Express credit card number. Cheque or MasterCard are the preferred payment methods for APL97 registration.
