SPEAKERS

Ian Graham is an Instructional Technology Consultant at the University of Toronto, and also Vice-President of Research and Development at Groveware Inc., an Internet startup based in Toronto. His areas of expertise include Web application architecture, Web user interface design, and project implementation and management. Ian is the author of several books on Web technologies, including 'The HTML 4.0 Sourcebook' (now in its 4th edition), 'The HTML Stylesheet Sourcebook', and the just released 'XML Specification Guide', co-authored with Liam Quin. By training, Ian is a theoretical physicist, with over 6 years of experience in University and Industrial research.

Russ Cobbe is President of Inline Internet Systems Inc. of Mississauga. Inline is a leading developer of dynamic web sites for corporations across Canada. Inline can provide complete turnkey Internet solutions with site development, hosting, commerce, software products and connections. Their range of services extents from simple office email to complex direct web connections to existing database systems. Inline Internet Systems Inc. is also developing leading edge Internet software solutions.

Dan King is President of Systar Corp. He will demonstrate the use of J as a Internet protocol that can replace all Web technologies above the level of TCP/IP sockets. J's features lend itself easily as a new, extremely concise notation for internet programming windows-driven applications. Mathematically robust, it has powerful 3D vector graphics, top level security, and eliminates virus risk from downloaded executables.

A number of other Internet programming practitioners will be invited to give short presentations of their perspectives.
