The Toronto APL SIG presents:

IBM's Nancy Wheeler, on:

APL2 for the New Millennium

Most computer installations are looking at questions of year-2000 readiness, Internet and Web capability, and modernizing user front ends to applications. If you are using APL2, you might be wondering how APL2 addresses these issues. If you aren't using APL2, you might be wondering what it's all about. This session will provide a status update on the APL2 product set, and answer your questions about Year-2000, GUI and network programming with APL2. We will also demonstrate the latest addition to the workstation APL2 product set - the Files as Arrays facility.

Nancy Wheeler joined IBM in 1983 after graduate work in Computer Science at the State University of New York at Albany. She has been in the APL2 area ever since, and has had a hand in almost every area of APL2, including development, support, and planning. Key areas of development responsibility are the APL2 DB2 interface, file processors, and data conversion.
