SOLOS is a system for collecting, storing, and communicating required
spare part information for current as well as new Xerox products. It
provides visibility and discloses multinational spare parts
configurations. It contains information relative to designed, built, and
inventoried spares; OEM spares, refurbished spares; canceled and replacement
parts; interchangeable vendor parts. |

| Customer Information Management System |
CIMS is a database
containing (marketing related) information on Niagara Mohawk Power
Corporation's customer population of 1,500,000. It is composed of a
variety of integrated modules. These modules allow a vast array of
information to be systematically gathered, summarized, and analyzed from a host of internal and external sources regarding current and future industrial, commercial, and residential customers. The system is used for developing marketing programs, analyzing survey results, reviewing customer files, and generating customized reports. |

| Supply and Demand System |
SUDS is designed to receives supply and demand data for Xerox products
from external databases and feed the information into case files created by product planners. The
model is then used to perform basic forecasting and to optimize the use of existing inventory
as well as re-manufactured equipment before ordering new units. The system produces track
sheet reports for review by senior management before final production planning. |

Input & Analysis |
Budget Input is a
Smith-Barney customized electronic spreadsheet that lets the user maintain
annualized actual data for the current year and input corresponding
(detail level) values for the Budget Year. Budgetlyse is an administrative
tool for helping senior management to review the finalized budgets in a
consolidated form. |

| Investment Recovery Information System |
IRIS supports the recovery and resale of unneeded material and equipment. It helps to keep track of items to be sold to inside purchasers or outside vendors. For items to be sold outside, it issues Request For Quotation notices and keeps track of bids. When the item is sold, it produces the necessary documentation and accounting information. |
